BEAU CLARK FANCLUB NEWSLETTER #2

Beau R. Clark

Beau was born on May 30th, 1981, which makes him a Gemini, and he's 18 years old! He also likes the Spice Girls and 80's music. I just wanted to add that in. And he's also an awesome dancer. But, some of his dancing isn't always the clean type that like you saw in West Side Story. And he demonstrated that at the Homecoming dance, where it was as if we were in Dirty Dancing. He got down and dirty with a lot of people there including yours truly, as well as Megan and Jackie:)hehe

His major hobbies are acting and singing. His singing is phenomenal and he's an excellent actor. He plans to pursue a career in acting, whether on Broadway or in the movies, and I have no doubt in my mind that it'll happen. Beau is a very busy person, not only with his shows, but he also takes singing and dancing lessons, and works at Pisces Aquarium and Blockbuster Video. Along with being a senior in high school, you can just imaging what his life is like.

He has been in Many shows. Among them (the ones I know of) are:

The Crucible-Thomas Putnam
Brigadoon-Charlie
Noises Off-Selsdon
Some On Acts-(a couple parts)-"All For The Best"(song from Godspell); and The Real Inspector Hound-Birdboat
My Fair Lady-Alfred P. Doolittle
Little Shop Of Horrors-Orin
You Can't Take It With You-Mr. Depina (or something like that)
South Pacific-Stewpot
Godspell-Judas
West Side Story-Tony
Mr. Roberts-Lt. JG Douglas Roberts
Magic Flute-(sorry, can't remember name)
Kilkee-Brock (original operetta)
Bye Bye Birdie-Conrad Birdie
~~Most recent project--110 In The Shade-File

Of these, a few of his favorites are Kilkee, because he was in the original cast and they made a soundtrack (which I have). Bye Bye Birdie because he got to be (basically) Elvis, and because one of his best friends, Ayler Balsat, was Conrad his freshman year in the high school production or Birdie. He also enjoyed West Side Story, Little Shop Of Horrors, My Fair Lady, and Godspell. As you can see, the musicals are his favorites!

The most recent project he's just begun is 110 In The Shade, (a musical version of The Rainmaker, with Katharine Hepburn). He is cast as File, a deputy who, throughout the play, is being persuaded to marry Lizzie. Lizzie is being nagged be her father and two brothers to get married because she's 30 years old and alone. The sent her away to try and find a husband, but that didn't work out, so they try to get File to marry her. But Starbuck comes into the picture and claims to be a rainmaker. At first, Lizzie is distant from him, but later on she gets close to him. Lizzie is being played by Natalie Poulton and also Hillary Miller, who Beau also got to work with in Kilkee as his leading lady (Mairine) and also in Bye Bye Birdie.
*Well, I won't spoil anything else. To find out what happens with file, Lizzie, and Starbuck, go check out this play, Nov 13th and 14th, 20th and 21st.*

Beau's most recent completed project, Bye Bye Birdie, was spectacular! Trust me! I saw it three times! What can I say?!?! It was a great play! As well as Beau, other leads included Hillary Miller (Rose Alverez), Drew McConahay (Albert Peterson), Erin Kauffman (Kim McAfee), Pat Finn (Hugo Peabody), Jennifer Grosjean (Ursula)-(yes, the secretary), Maggie Leatherman (Mrs. McAfee), and Mike Newmeyer (Mr. McAfee). Nevertheless, it was an excellent show and if you missed, well, it sucks to be you! Sorry but you missed awesome show! (Hmm...how many times can I say how awesome show?!?!) It was AWESOME!!!! Beau was excellent, with his Elvis impersonations, to the "beer" chugging/spraying it everywhere(which it got on me, thank you very much!!), to his 'lovely' peach dress at the end, it was an excellent performance!!

Bye Bye Birdie was certainly one of my favorites! But, nothing compares to Kilkee! If you missed that, then it really sucks to be you! I also enjoyed West Side Story, Godspell, Little Shop Of Horrors, and My Fair Lady. A way from the musicals, I also liked Noises Off and Mr. Roberts.

Well, that's all for this issue! Until next time!!

The Beau National Anthem
(To the tune of "We Love You Conrad"
from Bye Bye Birdie)
We love you Beau
Oh yes we do
We love you Beau
And we'll be true
When you're not with us
We're blue:(
Oh, Beau, we love you!

That's all for! Until next time!
